The Amalfi coast is a stretch of coastline on the southern coast of the Sorrentine peninsula in the province of Salerno.
The land route to the Amalfi coast is 40 kilometres (25 mi) long and it is called Strada Statale 163.
This road runs along the coastline from the town of Vietri sul Mare in the east to Positano in the west. The whole stretch of road is just amazing as you will drive along a cliff above the sea and every corner of it seems to reveal a stunning view of the sea and the villages.
You should rent a car to explore the small villages, enjoy a beautiful panorama and easily reach tourist towns like Naples, Pompeii, Salerno and the Cilento Coast. However, if you do not require a rental service and would like just a simple transfer service, you can learn more here.
For a different perspective and discover the coast from the sea, we also offer a boat rental service.
With a boat you can find hidden places reachable only by sea and for small boats you don’t even need a driving licence.
